Giving, Doors, and Two Witnesses

For God so loved the world that he gave his only and unique Son, so that everyone who trusts in him may have eternal life, instead of being utterly destroyed.

(John 3:16 CJB)

When did God decide that He would die for us? As a project manager I am used to calculate my risks ahead of time. A risk has a cost and it has a probability of happening. Now, let me tell you this: if I had a project with a risk of death and a probability of that risk happening of 100%, I would shrink back from even starting this endeavour.

God, other than me, is the perfect project manager and knows all risks beforehand. He knew before the foundation of the earth, before even starting this “experiment” with human race, that there would be a risk that He would have to give His life for us, not only a risk, a sure thing. And still He decided to go forward. For he is a giver.

All we want is to become like Him – let us display His character traid of giving.

I am the gate; if someone enters through me, he will be safe and will go in and out and find pasture.

(John 10:9 CJB)

Jesus, giving Himself for us, became the gate, the doorway to the father, to go in and out. God tells us, that if we tithe and give, that He will open the doors of heaven.

Now, if we portray Jesus through our giving, He became a gate or doorway, and our giving will open the doors of heaven, is it fair to say that we are to become the doors of heaven for others to go in and out and find pasture?

In the mouth of two or three witnesses everything is established, Moses, Paul, and even Jesus said. The first witness of the Father is Jesus, as He became the door to find Him. Let us become the second witness to establish the truth in peoples lives. Jesus went ahead as pattern Son, let us become the testimony that gets this truth real in peoples lives as the second witness.
